We need to have a counter/tally on the kills & losses of battles. My dice rolls have been atrocious for what seems like months now.
I've lost over 400 points recently. Balanced dice don't help either.

I think my frustration with the dice is justified, I've never had a cold streak like this before. But at least if I had a counter/tally I could see if I am justified or just needed to change my strategy.

I can fabricate some data for you and it would be just as valid. We have run extensive scripts over the dice that show they are balanced, so what is the point in individual stats? Are you really afraid we have a record somewhere saying "HiErebody: unlucky" influencing your rolls?

Do you really want the developers that volunteer to upkeep the site to spend their time on making a stats page with stats that will always converge to a same value, even in mathematical proof instead of a cool new feature?

The above-mentioned script can be found here: http://dominating12.com/dice_test.php. If you check the most bottom test, you see the percentages almost entirely match up with the mathematical expectations. So please, stop complaining and start enjoying the game.

That because of maths you (very probably) have to change your strategy.

Alternatively, there is a tool (on github) that analyzed the stats for one game. However, if I recall correctly the latest version doesn't compile...

No need to be a jerk. I didn't accuse the site or anyone of anything. Or even of the dice not being correctly coded.

I simply made a suggestion, that it would help to understand if a player was having worse luck than normal, or if the rolls were within normal "luck" and the player needed to revist their strategy.

Maybe learn some critical reading before lashing out at people...

I want to suggest a kill counter again. Just for 3 vs 2 kills so it can be consistent

My dice have been very very bad lately. And it's not strategy, it's simply bad dice

Does clicking fast negatively affect the rolls?

3vs2 kills dice favour the defender, so if you lost many 3vs2 it is the norm not the dice problem.

You are probably going to lost 66.7% of the time attacking 3 to 2, unless you have no other choice to get a card, don't attack 3vs2.

I think he ment the 3 dice vs 2 dice situation, which coincides with 4+ attacker troops vs 2+ defender troops.

Also, clicking fast does not influence the dice negatively per se (the moment you click can give different dice, but the probabilities are the same).

A counter is in the program from the github link, though you may need to go back in the history of the thing (which you only can do if you know git / programming).

However, if you often find yourself running just short of attacks (assuming here you don't use a calculator to calculate the probabilities of each attack, since you play live games mostly), than it's a safe bet to assume it's not in the dice, but in your strategy.

lol, anybody who has played online poker knows that the doomsday button is a real thing ;)

it's not a question of the dice being properly configured (pseudorandom blah blah) I don't think the dice's configuration is the problem... it's about knowing your dice for that particular game.

a counter (just for attack, in 3 dice vs 2 dice situations) would go a long way to know if you just had bad luck, or if you're making too many bad decisions.

yes, i play only live games, and i like quick games. breaking out a calculator would be the exact opposite of how to enjoy this game. i do the calculations in my head, and I'm fairly conservative.

the problem is i'm getting killed by dice, against mediocre & newb players. I would like to see a counter to validate my belief that it's a long streak of bad luck vs. anything else.

The programmers are right, there is no point in them ploughing their time into such things when they've been thoroughly tested.

The simple way to determine if it's just bad luck or a poor strategy, is add this webpage to your favourites and open it every time you play a game, then simply type in the attack & defence troop quantities, press the "Run Battle Simulation" button and within a couple of seconds it will run millions of rolls and give you the average win/lose percentage.

I just typed in 5 troops v 2 troops:
Risk Odds 5v2
Long-Term Battle Simulation
Attacker Won: 78.6% of the time (12828071 of 16314579 trials)
Average Conquering Army Size: 3
Defender Won: 21.4% of the time (3486508 of 16314579 trials)
Find out where the odds are 100% (click to show)
(5 v 2): Most importantly, take note of the Defender percentage.. you can at any time be in that 21% and quite possibly be there again next turn. In fact, if 16,314,579 players all rolled at the same time 3,486,508 of them would be shouting at their screen and complaining about unrealistic outcomes!

For example: If the programmers made the dice similar to other sites where the result of the dice are what you would expect to happen with 100 troops verses 50 troops, would this be realistic or false? I say FALSE!
How many armies have defeated overwhelming odds in battle? The answer is, all of the ones that had the most strategic leader!

Making something that helps ppl realize what odds are and helping them realize that they are not having huge bad luck but are really attacking to early is not a waist of time IMO.

However, right now I don't have time for about anything, even usefull stuff. So yeah, will have to wait.

My main remark stands though: in that github link there is a program that analyzes a game for you just like HiErebody wants. Any programmer that knows git or python? He can just fix it. It's open source.

That's why the resign button is there right? Does everything you'll ever need.
