First,
follow Vexer's signature if you're not familiar with the game in general terms.
Second, follow hoser's link to learn strategies for winning some deathmatch games against live opponents. If you buy premium, which is recommended - you can create games with point maximums, so that will keep your opponent skill level down to where everyone can kind of learn together.
WATCH other games. Ask questions in the chat in other games: "Why did you do that?" - "I'm trying to learn, help me out... what is your army in North America doing?" Etc.
Finally, When you want to get some really boring but in depth strategies down, try this link
