Threads Read Bug

been trying to figure this one out for a while, think I might have it. 
Threads that are "Pinned" do not become highlighted when they have new posts, unlike normal threads. not sure if this is intentional, but I would like to know if a pinned thread has a new post just as much as I would any other thread.
