This map is undergoing an update.
It will have a few territory label changes to be more geographically accurate and in order to change the labels of a flat image, the existing ones have had to be graphically removed, which then allows me to retouch the map whilst the text is not in the way.
Here is a retouched map base with the live map as a reference. The text and labels will be added soon if there are no objections to the retouching of the map base?

(Edit): The Current Live Map above has now been overwritten with the updated map.

It looks better with the update. Maybe the port signs could be changed to anchors to be consistent with the other maps.
It is now Day 8. Please submit your Lynch vote, as well as any Role-specific Day actions you wish to perform (countdown).
Day Actions:

Outlines are much better! The current one is so imprecis!

I would make a try to substitute those steering-wheels with classic anchors as said by Virtuos. It is not that I want all the maps to be the same, but anchors seem to be much more logical to represent ports than steering-wheels. I would make that if it's possible saving the same drawing style.

Also the port icon in the legend seems a bit misplaced to me. I think it must look better on the left side of the text rather than under it.

That's all I can remark.

I think it will be difficult to change anything on the map base due to the update only being meant for geographic accuracy and to clean up some poor outlines, borders & dividers as well as eliminate the prominent blemishes.
I think the original essence of this map is critical, after talking to senior staff, I have the feedback of keeping the map as it was, with new geographic names and a higher quality image.
The steering wheel represents the helm on most ships and I believe it gives its own unique impression of ship ports.

I'm guessing that top-right port sign is supposed to be darker than the others?

I am not sure why, but it is not something I have done.
It is probably for emphasis as it is in the Legend.

I have added a connection dot as suggested by The Bishop and redone a few labels as suggested by Spy Moon.
I haven't altered the dark steering wheel as I don't want to mess too much with the original map, but if it is said to be required, I can do this quite easily.

The retouching is almost complete and as far as I know there is just the decision on the outer shadow of the San Miguel label that is in dispute.
Here are the 3 versions:

A bit of red outer shadow I think it's cool for San Miguel as the circle hide the red land and one can find hard to see it is part of the red region. But I know Psymoon doesn't like it, since I don't know. In any case good job.
