The way the trails meet just west of Fort Hall suggests to me that Boise is connected to Humboldt River or Salt Lake. But during gameplay those connections don't exist. Don't know which is correct/better.
I liked the darker map better for the mood/theme, but can see the need for less dimness. But now it's maybe too...something...psychedelic?trippy?dayglo?
LoL.. Yes, quite trippy!

Personally I like maps without bonuses, especially for head-to-head games, it's like pure positional strategy. I played this one only once atm though. The "night effect" was nice, a cool feeling when playing it, but from a broader point of view, yes, the map was too dark. When you looked at our
map list it was just like a dark gray rectangle. The original one from Glanru was extremely pale instead, not good either. And another problem with Glanru's version is that several connections were questionable.
@Dima, perhaps you should try small changes instead of jumping from one style to the opposite. I would suggest let's try to go back to the dark one, but just a bit less dark and with a bit more of colors (saturation). The frame instead may be much brighter than the rest, in my opinion, because it is not part of the "night picture". Well and good idea to include the whole frame in the thumbnail, already said it.
