The design/graphics are not the best, but looks playable! Seth, if you happen to be back before Bishop adds the map, try to play around with colors. Imo the water is too dark. I would try some lighter background. Also a thinn frame around the map would also look good.

I think Venezuela bonus should be +5, being basically equal to Colombia and Peru. Argentina could be +8 or even +9. All the other bonuses are fine for me. I would be tempted to make this one an HD map (1365 px wide), so having less stress on fitting the circles inside the territories. Those sort of V-shaped arrows, which connect the 'island boxes', have some visible pixelations. Falkland box may be moved downward a bit. @@Dima: I'm not sure there is room for the frame because several parts almost touch the image edges.

99 territories would be better than 97, and the black ports unfortunately are much less visible than the white ones, I would make them sort of red.

Misspelling detection: it's [b]Rio Grande do Sul[/b], NOT [i]Rio Grande do Sol;[/i] it's [b]Centro-Oeste[/b], NOT [i]Centro-Oesta;[/i] it's [b]Guiana[/b], NOT [i]Gulana.[/i] [u]All prepositions "[b]do[/b]", "[b]del[/b]" and "[b]de[/b]"[/u] should be in lowercase, this is a minor issue, but still an issue. Guyana, Suriname and the French Guiana all together are sometimes referred to as [b][i]The Guianas[/i][/b].

I have made some rough manipulations on the flat image, just to show what I mean, and perhaps run some tests. As you can see I added 2 territories, splitting Amazonas into East and West, and Mato Grosso as well. The word "Brazil" should be added somewhere imo, not exactly this way, it's just an example. Some remarks from me: - Overall I like this map a lot. - It looks like a part of the Argentina region is not connected to the rest - is this on purpose? It makes holding one of those regions but not the other (Chile) quite hard gameplay wise. Probably this is because of realism, I don't know SA very well, sorry. I'm fine with whatever you choose, but it is a point to think about either way. - I feel the red port anchors are a bit too pixelly? Around their shadow/glow? - I don't like how the square border around the minimap feels. It feels unnecessary to the right, and it feels even weirder on the left/bottom. - Maybe opsition the passable/impassable legend elsewhere and remove the borders? - This might be solved by removing the borders around the minimap, but currently the minimap borders and the island borders look the same, even though the minimap is not playable, whereas the islands are. This would confuse me a bit if I was a new player. - I like the style of the map title, but it looks a bit pixxely too? Not sure if that's the right description really, it's not actually really pixellated, but ... it feels off somehow? - Overall the colour palette of the map is quite good, I like it. It all fits together and blends into one another quite well, without being too much of a difference. The outliers here are the very bright yellow region in the top, and the red region in the left. Maybe play a bit with these colours?
