Growing up at the bottom of the earth lol,. i basically originally only knew about Oceania, and USA. and maybe South Africa because of rugby rivalry :) till I did D12 cartography. learning, still lots to learn

To be fair I think what was significant about Hood's fun fact was that it was a single nation completely surrounded by a single indigenous group. In Europe of course there are nations surrounded by others, but none are surrounded by another single nation except for a few micronations that share the same ethnic roots as their neighbours.
