I like the theme. I would like a sort of 'localization key' of this area inside the US, as you did for the Gold Coast inside Australia. Not sure it fits tho.

changes.
this edit i added 3 more territories. 2 to the south west..next to eachother Tolani Lake and Tees Toh. also changed the connection there. this is due to wanting more movement for capitals mode, capitals selection. since i added 2 territories, i might as well make it a 72 territory map. I read that it was ideal. i added a territory to the yellow area on the east. dimas suggestion to change connection (east) from whitehouse to torreon turned out to be more useful for movement.
the west territories bonuses was kept rounded down due to it being easier to defend due to choke territories shonto and tomalea, while the red central area was rounded up due the bunch of border attacks it will defend against.

Cool, I like 72 territories better than 69. But I liked the curved dot-lines as they were in the 69 tert's version above.
Well, I know the trails cannot be exactly the same because of those 2 added territories in the West, but I mean just a similar curved style.

@Hoodlum: I'm not sure everything is fine with this map. I mean, it's cool of course, but it doesn't really look like a map of an actual place.
For example I cannot tell if the surrounding area is land or ocean... Is there a way to fix it? Something to make it look a bit more like an actual map.
Just my current impression.

There's a little image of USA with a thumbtack displaying exactly where the Navajo Nation is. just to for that reason. It's a real place if players care to care. Just like most of the maps coming out, "where are these places?". Google Helps. A quick google of Navajo Nation will show you an image of a map area like this one.

Exploring the Navajo Nation & Hopi Reservation
This map features a silhouette of the Navajo Nation, a region often overlooked by those outside the Southwest but rich with cultural and political complexity.

A Reservation Within a Reservation
If players look closely at the "empty space" in the center of the map, they will discover a fascinating geographical anomaly: the Hopi Reservation.

The Layout: The Hopi Reservation is entirely surrounded by the Navajo Nation.

The Relationship: This "doughnut" shape creates a unique political and social dynamic between the two nations, as one exists completely within the borders of the other.

Design Elements
To honor this history, the visual presentation uses specific cultural cues:

Color & Pattern: The palette and textures are inspired by traditional Navajo weaving and artistry.

The Inset Image: A subtle, low-opacity image of a Hopi individual is layered within that central "empty" space, representing the distinct identity of the people living at the heart of the region.

Fun Fact: This is one of the few places in the world where you can find a sovereign nation completely "landlocked" by another indigenous nation.

lol Hoodlum, what about switzerland, bielorussia and serbia in europe? all these are countries inhabited by indigenous europeans and are surrounded by other indigenous european countries.I think the eastern european ones are even the one with the highest amount of indo-european (corded ware/yamnaya DNA). The same is for many countries in africa, such as ethipia, all of them are indigenous to their place and are surrounded by other indigenous populations. Indigenous doesnt equal Amerindians.

Regarding the map: I am happy wioth the visuals and design!
