when rolls turn fool

Yesterday I lost an attack in a capitals game that finished 7-1. After that bad luck, I thought that my next game should be easy. I played a 4 people capitals, and in the definitive attack, turning cards 39 against 20, I missed the attack.

Today I play another capitals game, in the House map, and I made a risky movement, 33 attacking 35. Result, 32 lost, 15 killed (i am still on fire).

After that, I decide to play a deathmatch, and when we are only 3, one player turns crazy and kills me half of the map. The other one attacks me, forgetting one single troop in Japan (ahhhh japan again). After seeing that, he attacks me with the remaining 18 troops through africa and asia, scoring a 16 killed, 2 lost, to arrive to Japan and kill me.

I think that my luck has to improve soon, anyway i will be back to a private soon (300 points in one week).

There is no cosmic balance rule where good luck must balance bad luck. I know you jest and are just venting but I have an inner drive to fight superstitious, irrational thinking.

it seems that it did not work at all. Just lost a game with a final strike 3 killed, 15 lost. Just had to take 2-1-1 (capital) with 16, and could not.

Skarni, dice rolls are said to be independent.

This means that if you roll twice, the second roll is not dependent on the first roll.
So if your first roll are two 6'es, the second roll is not going to be worse than if your first roll are two 1's.


These two statements below are both true, look at the differences:
- The chance of rolling 5 ones in a row is (1/6)^5 = 0.01%
- The chance of rolling a one after you rolled 4 other ones, is 1/6 = 16% (please note that this is exactly equal to the chance of rolling 1 one).

My good luck comes and goes. When the dics arent' working in my favor, I try to stop attacking if my emotions don't get the better of me. You can curb bad luck with patience and anger management.
