I have been receiving a lot of complaints lately about teaming and cheating. Many of you think that the players listed below are the same person. They are not. They are just friends. I have checked each one of their IP addresses and traced it back to the city they live in.
All of these players are friends from the same country, but not the same city except darksoul and hedsoul are the same person. darksoul and hedsoul have not played in any games together. I assume he created a second account to circumvent our 1 live game at a time limit. One of these accounts will be closed.

It cannot be proven from the game logs if these players are teaming up. It may be the case that they had a legitimate reason not to attack each other. It is not possible for an admin or moderator to judge this after the fact. It can be judged while the game is being played but not afterward.
Friends and relatives cannot play neutrally. They either attack more or less than normal. If they are consciously teaming then it's cheating but they could also be subconsciously teaming. They may not realize that they are going easy on their friends. Part of them does not want to put their friendship in danger so they don't risk angering their friend with an attack. This is why you should not play against friends. It's never a fair game.
And so I post this list here so you know who their friends are and can avoid games with more than one of these players in them. If you see one of these players waiting in a game, a good strategy would be to wait to be the last to join to make sure that one of their friends doesn't join.
Alternatively you can create a password protected game for free and only invite one player from this list and not invite any players who you suspect are cheaters.
Cheaters in general:
If you suspect a cheater then message an Admin or Moderator and include the game number. We will check their IP addresses to see if they are the same player. If necessary we will find what city the IP is originating from. If their IPs are coming from all over the globe then we will assume that they are using an anonymizer and will take that as evidence of cheating. We will check their email address and look for similarities. We will check to see if the players only play in games with each other. This is the only evidence that we can use as proof of cheating.
We will not ban players just because they don't attack each other. There are 100's of reasons not to attack each other and cheating is only one of them. In short, we have to find irrefutable evidence in order to ban someone. We will on occasion return points when we don't have real proof when a 3rd party was watching the game and also agrees that there was unfair teaming going on. When you think players are teaming then you should go to the live game lobby and ask whoever is online to come witness it. If you know that an Admin or Moderator is online then you should message them directly and not post it in the live game lobby.
