Lost too many points

I just lost 58 points in ONE GAME to one player! I have NEVER won anywhere near that many points in a game where I beat 6 people!!!! what is going on? https://dominating12.com/game/901920

You didn't lose 58 points, you lost 22. The last 'big' game you won you got 60 points, and you only beat 3 people - game 897231 Check your facts. If you want to be taken seriously, only complain when you have supporting evidence.

Sir, my point total said I had 1558. Then after that game I had 1502. That is what I saw! And I don't know how to check my facts. I don't know how to see how many points my opponents have. Is there a way for me to do that? And can we just talk to each other with respect and no condescension? No more check your facts if you want to be taken seriously etc? Do you have any idea how disrespectful that is in response to a legitimate question?

Did I lose a game in between? I don't know. I don't know how to check any of that. I really need to be able to check my facts! And is there a way for me to see people's true point total?

And in that 60 point game, I beat three of the best players on this site right? Yet I still don't know how to tell their scores! How can I calculate if it is even worth it for me to play against players? Do you know what I mean?

I know I was clicking on everything that was clickable when I came in ;d) Once you do so, you would see ^this^ for the game you linked. Getting 60 rating for winning a 4 player game (beating 3), is in fact the standard (check other topic, as linked). So you not getting 60 for beating 6... [/quote] Distinguishing 'who is the best' is rather 'impossible' too, as neither rating, nor rank, nor anything else can give a true view on that - people may have completely different goals when playing here. Indications you could take are, the highest rank someone has ever attained, the dominating12 list with a top to bottom rating, the percentage of games won from the total, the amount of games played and many more.... At the start of your 'career' I would say it is always worthwhile to play against everybody (except a select few who appear to be suiciders? avoid those) - learning curve. No point in really trying to calculate stuff.. getting a proper grip on the game will help you more in the long run. And you are quite right I have issues. One of those issues is I INSIST on being spoken to or AT in these cases with some RESPECT!

Is it possible you lost 2 games at one time? Not sure what type of games you play.

Yes sir doughboy that is precisely what happened. I lost a LONG TERM game right before I lost the LIVE game. My screen score in parentheses next to my name showed 1558 all while I was playing after I left that game it said 1502. Which is why I THOUGHT I lost 56 points. I apologize for not knowing better. Now I understand better. BUT, is there a way for me to know how many points an opposing player has?

Do you however notice at what kind of a tone you 'ask questions' ? With a lot of CAPS and EXCLAMATION/QUESTION MARKS. Not really a normal way of conduct, in my opinion. I am not as wise or experienced as you and I have not reached a boiling point at any level. I only asked a question and expected to be answered in a respectful non condescending way. I am a girl, a young girl. young woman. teenager. I hope that helps. OK. I love you Alex. You have been great and nice to me. But you are not being so nice right now. I have a script that pulls in a users rating from the D12 list...but that is like monthly so not always up to date.

[list type=decimal] [li]Know your own rating[/li] [li]Look at their recent games, how many points they lose in those games - against which opponents (rank) - check links provided in this thread[/li] [li]Create your own script/program/code/excel to play around with some numbers and get a feeling[/li] [li]...[/li] [li]Eventually you'll get a good estimate ready in your head that doesn't require any tools anymore[/li] [/list] Or..... simply ask people :P They might just tell you =D I assume though, for whatever goal you might have, you do not really need to know anyone's rating... just ballparking it in a range of say 3-500 should provide you with all you need.
