Points and Tokens

Points are awarded when you win a game, and lost when you lose a game. The number of points you receive/lose depends on the points of the other players in the game. If you win a game with players with more points than you, you will earn more points than if you win a game with players with less points than you. The total amount of points lost and the total amount of points earned in a game always add up to 0. So all losing players lose a certain amount of points which are then distributed amongst the winning players. Hence, winning a game with a lot of players gives a lot more points than winning a two player game, but the likelihood of winning games with a large number of players is of course lower. Tokens are awarded after successfully finishing a game. If you miss turns you get a small token penalty (but you will never lose tokens) and if you get kicked because of missing turns you don't get any tokens at all. The base reward is 20 tokens. Tokens can also be received for referring people through the [url=http://www.dominating12.com/?cmd=member&sec=account&tiersec=promo&act=refer]referral program[/url]. Tokens can be spent on shop items. These vary from game modes and maps to ranks. To purchase higher ranks, you also need a certain minimum number of points. Thus, points show your skill, and tokens are just a currency to buy cool stuff.

(Edit).. Darn Cireon already posted!! You only get points for winning, but you get tokens for every game you play. Some Maps and Options (such as Resign) cost tokens, but if you play the free maps, you'll keep adding to your tokens. The more points a player has, the more you get from them if you beat them, so some players give you more points than others. When you purchase a new rank under "Upgrades", you have to have enough points for that rank and you also have to spend the required tokens. Therefore you keep your points, but lose your tokens (spent). I hope this helps.
