What happens if you lose points to be below your current rank?

I was wondering what the system does when your point total falls below the point minimum of your current rank. For example, if you have 3200 points and you upgrade to Captain, but them lose a bunch of games and drop to below 3200 points. Are you demoted to the next lower rank, or the highest rank your current point total can support? Do you lose any tokens?

Thanks.

The ranks are unlocked once with tokens, and they are yours forever. Said so, you'll display the highest unlocked rank that your points permit. If you fall below a threshold, say 3200 for Captain, you'll get demoted to the next rank you've unlocked, and if you get above that threshold you'll regain your rank automatically. You don't need to unlock every rank in order, so you can access Captain before unlocking Sergeant, for example.

If you lose points of your current rank points required to hold that rank, you are demoted to the next lower rank PURCHASED. (if you skipped buying a few in between then you can drop several ranks). If you purchased rank in order (without skipping), you will drop 1 rank at a time. You don't lose tokens for being demoted. But it costs tokens to purchase rank.

Got it. Thanks. I was worried I'd have to buy the rank again, and it was a disincentive to upgrade.

Why don't your current points show on the status bar at the top of the page? Wouldn't that be great?

We're gonna add that to your profile page and have a popup after each game is over that shows it to you. We don't want to clutter up the interface by having it on every page.

Soon we will be rewriting much of the website. It's probably better to get this done during that process or after instead of now.
