I would like to start advertising soon, it's time to get this thing going. There are a lot of things that I just can't add because with only 10 or so active beta testers it just wouldn't be fun.

When we have more members I can start adding Clans, team games, tournaments, clan scrims/ranks, etc. etc.

For now I am working to make a map area that is accessible to everyone, so everyone can create a map, however in order to play it, it must go through a process of approval. Then others can beta test the map etc. I might wait until I am finished with that before I advertise, this hopefully will spark more interest for budding map makers.

sounds good, it'll be nice to have some fresh meat around here, haha. I think the site is about ready, no major bugs in what is currently online judging by the near silence from the suggestions forum recently.

What kind of criteria are you thinking about for the maps approval process?

look good, fun. I plan to add a beta testing area so we can have a set team for beta testing maps. Or make it so that all premium users can go to the beta testing area and start a game using a beta map.

I don't imagine there being many rules, just looking at the map and thinking "fix this" "fix that". When it's pretty good we will put it up.

alright, I like the idea of a set team to beta test maps, possibly have a few permanent members of that team and spots that vary so its not an overflow of opinions about the map, but we get a good sampling of if its good, if it works etc.

Besides looking good and being fun, I would say balance and uniqueness are also two important factors in whether a new map should be implemented.

This is true. The community will be the one to judge the maps, so hopefully we get criticism from all angles.

Want to make sure that the maps are easy to understand, too. The maps on that other site, there are some really weird ones. I've played a game where I got owned because I didn't realize that some sort of weird border worked in a certain way.

Well, of course I'm mad. It makes things a great deal more interesting.
