I wish they played more.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that most of you experienced, old-time players don't play much anymore because you have lives outside of the internet, and/or you're busy volunteering with this site. I can't ask more of you, so I won't. This is not a request or a complaint. I just wanted to share my thoughts.

In an perfect world, we would have a lot more games (live, especially) with our best, old players. I think that there are a number of reasons that this would benefit the community here. First of all, it's fun to play with the "big names". It's fun to try, and maybe even sometimes succeed in beating them. It's fun to chat with them.

When we have this site's best playing live games, it improves the whole community. Players who play them learn more because they can observe often times near perfect gameplay. They can see what to do and what not to do. They can discuss strategy and learn how they could have improved their plays. Even if they are spectating, players can learn a lot from these types of games, more than other games where you can't be sure if the players you are watching know what they're doing.

It's great to see the staff involved in games. It shows that they care about the site, and the community. It let's the community know that they are ultimately here because they, too, love risk.

Of course, I do enjoy playing with most players here, and I certainly learn a lot from them too. But sometimes, it can be frustrating in games where players don't know what they are doing. Or it's sad playing games where no one wants to chat.

Since last January when I joined, it feels like there are fewer and fewer experienced players in live games.

I look forward to the day that this world is made perfect again. But until then, thanks to the staff and volunteers for all they help with, especially when they prioritize working on this site over playing. And I hope that maybe in the future, you'll be able to play a bit more here :)

Plus some players that played all the time is not here anymore...1771...then some of them their real life got in the way of playing...Fendi...and some liked the old rules...Thorpe...then some of them never really played live games before ...all of the programers...and Glanru

You have the rest of the staff Holt, Crystal...play them as much as they did before and long term games. As for the rest of the staff...MAPS, GenghisKhan, OldDogGen, elysium5, lifeinpixels all play live games.

There are more 'old' players than just staff. Take Paddlin for example.
He's a player that knows how to play pretty well and joined somewhere in 2011. He still plays live I believe.

I'm not sure if I'm an old player, but if I am, then Joca (Lider) is one too. He's really good and still plays live for as far as I know.
The same holds for NikeBoix69 I think.

And how about players like Brewdog, GenghisKhan, OldDogGen?

Paddlin and Nike included; I wasn't only talking about staff. And I know some play more than others, but I still think there is a general trend.

Maybe the impression I'm getting is because there is a huge increase in newer players compared to older ones. So that in itself is a good thing, I guess.

I do not feel guilty, because I don't feel experienced :3
