I'm confused about how many minimum points games I can create. Right now when I try to make one it says I can only start 5 limited points games. I only have 4 games pending right now. Does this mean that I can't make new limited points games while the previous ones I've created are still in game? Or I can only make a total of 5 ever?

Either way, I think the rules should be revised to allow members (or at least premium members) to create limited points games if they have less than 5 pending at a given time.

Any reason we can't change it to 5 pending at once? Generally the limited games I make are 9p/adjacent/no cards so they won't be ending any time soon. They take a while to fill up though, so I wouldn't be able to flood the lobby with limited points games if that's what you're concerned about.

Maybe the reason is that this was easier to program, and maybe there were other reasons.

We really want good people like you to play with newbies too, so they can learn how to play risk. Remember you were a newbie a long time ago, and by playing the good ppl you became as awesome as you are now :)

But the main idea back then when I made this was that you could reward yourself with some special games where you could play ppl from exactly your level.

Still, I guess I could change the limit to 10 if the person is in like 50+ games or so, because he still plays with new players alot. How is everyone on that?

I think 10 sounds a bit too high but if people want it then I guess it's ok.

Could you write it to be a percentage of games played with a minimum allowed of 5. Like allowed # of games = 5 + .2 * (pending + active games).

Yes, but that formula will give 15 point limited games for 50 games played. I think 10 is better. (I'd say change the factor to 1/10).

Also, it's easy to start 100 new games, 10 new point limiteds, and leave the 100 created games, so I guess I won't count the pending ones (so maybe the factor should be larger than 0.1).

Just something I found out about a few days ago.
Under every game you play there's a red rectangle which reads "Secret alliances and teams are not allowed. Temporary alliances must be made in the game chat. See the Site Rules"

I think they should rather change it to: "Secret alliances and teams are not allowed. Temporary alliances must be made in the game chat. See this Site Rulez(/Rules)"

Hehe, that was the thing which came through my mind when reading that :D

Matty, I've played hundreds of games with new players and don't intend to stop. It's just that the games I enjoy most last for months and I'd like to start some new ones with players at or above my level. At this rate, I won't be able to start another till around 2014 :P

I like the percentage idea. How about 15%?
