Peri, what about games won by team a vs team b, with and without bonus drops?

what can I say except that it's good to have a tournament, it's randomized like the colors that are in pink purple and blue cyan, the team number in the challonge, a lot of little things that in the end mean nothing, and I myself believe that everything can be better, I still think that the most fair option is that the site generates a drop and that's it

@robit Like who goes first? I didn't analyze for that....when I have time....
@BJ ok...i see you like to ignore the data...no problem....then just admit that you dont have the time or dont care about the fairness of the tournament....and that is OK...but some players DO care and you need to address/state that in your tournaments that it is completely random and could be unfair. You can't just ignore the evidence then claim it's fair. You lose credibility.
Blagoje_Jovovic wrote:
The thing is that random is a part of the game
You cant make a totaly fair drop
And I think that random is most fair option ,our opinions is just different there is no wrong or right just different.
periwinkle wrote:
Then you should say that in the description of your tournament...and tell people...Don't tell people it's fair when you already lost on the drop....that was my point.

Lets use common sense.

Yes a unbalance drop where a team can get a bonus command on the start is technically fair in that it can occur at any time for anyone. Kinda like playing slots or the lottery. Totally random and up to chance. I also do not gamble.

This is supposed to be a game of skill with only a lil bit of luck thrown in.

I have never heard of commands on the drop with the board game either.

Hey Peri - yea, curious in the 2v2 games what records are for teams that go first vs second, but I guess if you can include bonus and not bonus that would help too?

Appreciate you putting anything together, if you can

Can you name the teams in the brackets?
now night 7
You know the drill. jacob is currently president

If I look at the tourney page w all our games played, assuming the team names are the order of who goes first, second, etc..

Team a has 10 wins
Team b has 6 wins

But I don't know the bonus breakout.

Not sure if this is useful.

I only looked at teams with bonuses. We have all the data in plain sight...just need someone to take the time and compile/analyze it.

Incidently, there are other risk sites that ensure no bonuses are given on the drop....everything else is random.
Blagoje_Jovovic wrote:
it was more because of the map and its bonus style, Oregon.
San francisco seems to have no starting bonuses.

Again, since some team in both games has the advantage of playing first, I consider the advantages to be random and that is the outcome..

yeah, I hate that map...

prob wanna stay out of these, let's use the word 'opinions'
but why not stop filling up thread space and doing the nonstop back and forth between peri's idea and jovovic's?
not sure if there's much you can do bout it now peri since you already joined jovovic's tourney without getting information you would've wanted...
maybe jovovic if you want peri to join your future tourneys you can do some extra work to make her happy...
or you can do whatever. I Don't Care.
It's just so annoying can you make a new thread for this topic?
this seems more of a general topic than this specific tourney. can't do much bout it now right?
Aha!
